Established in 1998, Joe’s Music Center & Performance Arts, Inc. is known for its Academy and Retail divisions.


Joe’s Music Center & Performance Arts, Inc. has been offering award-winning music and dance programs to all ages. Music lessons & dance classes include guitar, bass, voice, violin, viola, cello, upright bass, drums, piano, all woodwind & brass instruments, choir, preschool dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, step, African dance, modern dance and more.

Our objective are to narrow the gap of unequal access to arts for culture nourishing and to ensure the personal and comprehensive growth of adolescent through various programs including YouthMax Leadership Program.

In collaboration with Major Music International Corporation (MMIC) 501(c)3 and other non- profit organizations, we have worked on projects supported by DFTA and DYCD. Our programs are for students from early childhood, PreK-12, seniors and individuals with disability.

We offer a proven track record of excellence from a fully qualified and diverse staff. Our staffs, trained instructors of International University, are elites in their professions of extensive range of genres of music, dance and theatre. They are sure to be the best in the area, offering private and group instruction with experience from around the world. Additionally, we are Department of Education Contractors. All our curriculums are of Blueprint standard.

The instructors, students and parents at Joe's Music Center & Performing Arts are supported by a professional office staff who make it their business to assist you before, during and after all lessons. Our customer service truly sets us apart.

But beyond our incredible instructors and staff members, students will enjoy our fully-stocked lesson rooms with everything you need for your music lessons. From amps and pianos to professional dance floors to prevent injuries, we keep students equipped and safe.

As a socially responsible corporation, we extend our services beyond our classrooms to the community. We have been proud partner with public, private and charter schools, churches, community centers, early childhood facilities, sororities and fraternities. Services include but are not limited to After School Programs, Summer Camp and Summer in the City Initiative.

Many of our students succeed in exploring themselves and polished their hidden talents to the fullest. They won uncountable competitions and scholarships to Universities that they have been dreaming of. Most importantly, they realized their capabilities and reached for aims that they once thought it was too far.


Joe’s Music Store is our retail store which is stocked with an abundance of instruments, music and accessories to supplement any program. Instruments are available for rent or purchase to deliver quality arts education and supplies to students.

• Convenient Location: All lessons and classes take place in one location, so one family can take advantage of multiple classes in one day.
• Affordable Cost: We offer family discounts, multi-class discounts, special senior citizens programs and senior citizen discounts. Financing is available for purchase of any instrument at Joe’s Music Store with an additional 5% - 10% discount for enrolled students. Financing is also available for lesson payments.
• Flexible Scheduling: Choose from a wide range of lesson times available, sure to fit any busy schedule! We offer early morning and lunch time lessons for homeschoolers, retirees, college students and working professionals.
• Customized Instruction: Our instructors will help you learn the music that you want to learn. Whether that is classical, pop, jazz, or gospel, you get to learn the way you want to learn.
• Inspiration & Rewards: We’re one of the only music schools in Brooklyn that honors students’ achievements by giving them special color bracelets, trophies, certificates and other rewards.
• Competitions & Scholarship Opportunities: Our philanthropic division, Major Music International Corporation, awards an annual 6-month enrichment music program scholarship for which students must audition. It also offers summer camp scholarships for students 5 – 16 years old and cash awards for MMIC’s Annual Scholarship Competitions.
• Marathon Classes: Not sure what instrument to take? Choose one different instrument per week; after four weeks, choose your favorite to continue. Music Marathon Class selections are piano, guitar, bass, drums, violin, voice or saxophone.
• Discount Cards: Each student gets a discount card which can be used immediately upon registration for purchases at Joe’s Music Store.


• Joe’s Parent Perks: Parents can participate in the Joe’s Parent String Orchestra and get free string classes. Parents also get free ballroom classes.
• Parent Lounge: While you wait during your child’s lesson, enjoy our lounge area with comfortable chairs, free Wi-Fi, magazines, and bottled water service. Or, check your child’s progress from our observation windows. Parents can also meet with teachers during scheduled lessons.
• Referral Program: We give you $25.00 off one month of tuition and your friend gets $25.00 off one month of lessons.
• Free Master Class: Your child will receive a free Master Class each quarter. 
• Free Scheduling App: Download Joe’s Music Center & Performing Arts app on your smartphone to schedule classes, check in when you arrive to class, view your account and much more.
• No Gimmicks: There are no contracts by semester and no annual contracts. Classes are scheduled and paid for automatically on a monthly basis.
• Free Recital Tickets: Each family gets complimentary tickets for guests. Our music recitals are held at the LeFrak Hall in Queens College and at similar venues in New York City with amazing ambiance and acoustics.
